Possibly the UK’s most iconic tree. Standing proud in a small dip in Hadrian’s Wall. This beautiful sycamore is truly a symbol of the North East.
Sadly overnight on 28th September the tree was deliberately felled. Lost for words does not come close.

These beautiful birds are found all over the Farne Islands between April and late July. They live for over 20 years and are truly unmistakeable. Locally they are lovingly known as Sea Parrots.

The iconic seaside stronghold of Bamburgh Castle, sitting proud upon the rugged Northumberland Coastline. The castle has been holding this position for over 1400 years and has certainly seen its fair share of action. Its restoration was completed in 1901 and it now remains one of the largest inhabited castles in the country. You may also recognise it from Netflix’s awesome show, The Last Kingdom.

An iconic landmark in the North East of England, Lindisfarne Castle was built in the 16th Century. It was converted in 1901 by the architect Sir Edwin Lutyens, turning it into a holiday home for Edward Hudson, the founder of Country Life magazine.
