The Best DJI RC / RC2 Neck Strap Bracket

So you’ve forked out a small fortune on one of DJI’s latest and greatest drones. You’ve quickly grown confident enough for a handheld take off but suddenly realise this means holding the RC in awkward, even precarious positions. Enter the Symik Premium Neck Strap System*. This little extra safety net gives you additional piece of mind when flying the drone and prevents some costly accidents if your find yourself going all fingers and thumbs. Helpfully, it’s now available for the RC2 as well.

I spent quite a while looking for the perfect lanyard for my Mini 3 Pro’s DJI RC, finding most of the offerings out there are rather cumbersome, with some even preventing you reaching essential ports, not ideal. Then I stumbled across the Premium Neck Strap System from Symik. What caught my eye was the bracket for the RC. It utilises the mount holes on the rear of the controller, avoiding interference with the ports at the bottom, as well as fitting just fine with a silicone cover. The kit comes with everything you need to get started, neck strap, bracket, mounting screws and hex/allen key for fitment. At £19.99, I would have to say it’s one of my more impressive purchases.

Symik state that the bracket is precisely CNC machined 6061 aircraft grade aluminium alloy with abrasive blasting treatment and titanium colour anodising for style and endurance. The fit is perfect and colour compliments the RC, which is a nice touch. The bracket is very low profile and is therefore likely to fit into most carry cases. I have the fly more kit and it fits into the shoulder bag without issue.

The neck strap itself contains EVA foam and looks and feels fairly premium. The buckle also has a reassuring spring action to keep it clipped to the bracket and only having the one tether point makes one handed operation a breeze.

That being said, my go to camera strap for a number of years now has been the Peak Design Slide and by attaching a couple of their Anchors to the RC bracket, I can use my favourite strap with the drone as well.

Just on a side note, before purchasing I did notice some reviews stating they only received the strap and not the bracket. I had that sinking feeling too when it turned up as the packaging only shows the strap. However, the bracket was nicely tucked inside so it is worth checking first when it arrives.
